On Thursday, December 3, the Governor announced a new stay-at-home advisory to be in effect December 14 through January 11 to interrupt the growing surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations throughout the state. The advisory stipulates we should gather only with immediate household members. A universal mask mandate is also being implemented for this same time period. Additional restrictions are being considered.
You can review Delaware’s Phase 2 guidelines for safe business operations here.
It is important to note the advisory does not apply to workplaces and travel to and from places of work.
What this means for real estate transactions and how we work?
As we continue our compliance with the stay-at-home advisory and Phase 2 safe operating guidelines will help allow us to continue to do business during this period and beyond. There are many ways we can show our support for the intent of the advisory; for example, REALTORS® are highly encouraged not to attend settlement unless necessary.
If you have any questions about buying or selling a home during this time period, don’t hesitate to give us a call. Our team continues to follow this closely so we all can remain healthy, safe, and working towards serving you.
