In a recent article in the Delaware Business Daily by Doug Rainey , I found this article about the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition store expanding their offerings.
According to the article, The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, located in Talleyville Center at 3619 Silverside Road in Wilmington, recently marked the anniversary of its GreatStuff Savvy Resale store. The mission of Great Stuff Savvy Resale and GreatStuff Home is to generate revenue for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition by providing the community with high quality women’s clothing, shoes and accessories as well as home furnishings and home accent pieces at a fraction of the original price.
At GreatStuff Home… shoppers can expect to find furniture and home accent pieces like lamps and framed art for a fraction of its original cost. The inventory will continually change. Those who have been touched by breast cancer may also find comfort and resources at the shop that will be staffed, in part, by breast cancer survivors.
Dale Maahs, general manager of GreatStuff says loyal customers and donors have greatly contributed to the success. “We could not do it without them. We feel so fortunate to live and work in a community that has embraced us in so many ways. Our customers and our volunteers are the reason for our success. We are grateful for their support, donations and volunteer hours. Because of them we are able to celebrate three years of success and the grand opening of our sister store GreatStuff Home.”
All proceeds from the shop benefit DBCC’s programs which work to increase breast cancer awareness, promote the importance of early detection, provide access to mammograms, and provide support and resources to women and men who have been diagnosed with breast cancer in our local community.
