Kent County Real Estate Neighborhood News-Fall 2014
By Bill Bell
Kent County is home to the state capital Dover, Dover Downs and the Dover Air Force Base. In this area, you will find a good choice of smaller 55+active adult communities and the prices can be significantly lower than in the areas to the north or south.
It is possible to find attached homes in the low $200s or better and single family homes beginning in the mid $200s to the mid $300s.
Not everybody loves the beach, so it’s easy to see why our neighborhoods in Kent and New Castle Counties are booming! The Mid-state communities are popular with boomers looking to take advantage of Delaware’s low property taxes and the tax-free shopping and for those who feel the beach is not a top priority in their retirement location.
